O fornecimento de passagens rodoviárias constitui importante instrumento de apoio à logística de transporte, garantindo o acesso dos usuários aos serviços de saúde ofertados fora do município, especialmente para realização de consultas, exames, procedimentos cirúrgicos, tratamentos especializados e demais atendimentos não disponibilizados pela rede local ou pela abrangência da DRS VI de Lins/SP. Ressalta-se, ainda, que parte dessas demandas ocorre junto à rede privada de saúde, tendo em vista que, na maioria dos casos, os convênios médicos não disponibilizam transporte aos pacientes. Nessas situações, após análise e autorização da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde, mediante avaliação social, torna-se possível o atendimento aos usuários que se encontram em situação de vulnerabilidade e necessitam do auxílio para deslocamento.[E4]
