Titre : Services satellitaires Lightspeed This ACAN is being issued by Shared Services Canada (SSC) to satisfy the requirement for the provision and operation of Lightspeed Low Earth Orbiting satellite services (called Lightspeed Services) on an ‘’as and when’’ required basis.What is an ACAN: An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a Statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a Statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the Contracting Officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.This ACAN relates to 1 contract proposed to be awarded to 1 contractor and will be used by Shared Services Canada.Definition of the Requirement: Shared Services Canada (SSC) has a requirement for the provision and operation of Lightspeed Low Earth Orbiting satellite services (called Lightspeed Services) as provided by Telesat LEO ULC on an as-and-when required basis for use by SSC and its partner organizations/clients. Lightspeed provides Canada’s only sovereign enterprise-grade low earth orbit satellite constellation. Lightspeed has inter-satellite link capabilities, enabling any traffic originating outside of Canada to land in Canada (within applicable regulatory policies) directly through Canadian gateways.
